EASYTALK Forum and TANGLAW NG WIKA sites will be launched on Saturday/Sunday, Sydney time on 2nd-3rd July 2005. @ Barrio Fiesta. The venue will be opened 24/2 this weekend.

Security measures will be taken cared of by the administrative console and her staff @ Barrio Fiesta. There will be a tight security on that special event as there are threats to throw bombs on that day. he he he he

Special Guests are coming from all over the world to witness this function. We would love to welcome the DA thinker, Lonegunmanex, yung inumin natin diyan pakihabol po. Berdibert/Kamandag/Habibi, try to make it, the occassion won't be complete without you guys! Your presence is highly appreciated.(wala kaming kasayaw ano, chacha pa naman) We will all grace the occassion.

1. Meryenda sa umaga, meryenda sa hapon, meryenda sa gabi. Ilang beses bang mag-meryenda ang Pinoy bukod sa "tri-mils-a-dey" na kanin at ulam?

2. At.. huwag kakalimutan ang sawsawan - toyo at kalamansi, patis at kalamansi, suka at patis, suka at toyo, suka at sili, suka at bawang, bagoong, bagoong at kalamansi, bagoong at suka, bagoong at sili, asin, buro - kung ano-ano! Ito na lang, ilang sawsawan ang maiisip mong bagay sa pritong isda?

3. Nasabi na rin lang.. BAGOONG! Mabaho, malasa at hindi mahihindian. (Ano ang saysay ng kare-kare kung walang bagoong? O manggang hilaw na walang bagoong??)

4. Dinuguan o ang ika ni Andres ko - Chocolate Stew. Kung iisipin mo, dugo? Kinakain? Subukan mong may kasamang puto at talaga namang mapapa-ummmm ka sa sarap!

5. Eto pa ang isa - Balut. Ma-high blood ka man sa sobrang cholesterol, da best kasama ng asin o suka. Ang sarap ng sabaw, malambot ang buto mas lalo na kung kinakain mo ng nakapikit o walang ilaw.

PHILIPPINE FOLK DANCES

SAYAW SA TAPEW NA BANGKO - PANGASINAN DANCE.... This dance is native to the barrio of Pangapisan, Lingayen, Pangasinan, and demands skill from its performers who must dance on top of a bench roughly six inches wide.

CAVITENA

PANAGBENGGA NG BAGUIO - FLOWER DANCE

MALONG SINGKIL - This dance takes its name from the bells worn on the ankles of the Muslim princess. Perhaps one of the oldest of truly Filipino dances, the Singkil recounts the epic legend of the "Darangan" of the Maranao people of Mindanao. This epic, written sometime in the 14th century, tells the fateful story of Princess Gandingan, who was caught in the middle of a forest during an earthquake caused by the diwatas, or fairies of the forest.

SINGKIL

The criscrossed bamboo poles represent the trees that were falling, which she gracefully avoids. Her slave loyally accompanies her throughout her ordeal. Finally, she is saved by the prince. Dancers skillfully manipulate apir, or fans which represent the winds that prove to be auspicious. Royal princesses to this day in the Sulu Archipelago are required to learn this most difficult and noble dance.

MUSLIM DANCE NG MINDANAO

There are other versions of Singkil. Perhaps the version more widely performed by dance companies is the "Garden Singkil." The story goes that the princess goes into her garden, accompanied by her slave, and plays with the butterflies, which are represented by the fan dancers. The movements of the fans supposedly represent those of the butterflies, as opposed to the diwatas. In another popular version, the prince uses a scarf instead of a sword

MORI NG MARINDUQUE

BINASUAN - This colorful and lively dance from Bayambang in the Pangasinan province shows off the balancing skills of the dancers. The glasses that the dancers gracefully, yet carefully, maneuver are half-filled with rice wine. Binasuan, meaning "with the use of a drinking glass" in Pangasinan, is often performed as entertainment at weddings, birthdays, and fiestas.

IGOROT DANCE NG BAGUIO

TINIKLING - Honored as the Philippine national dance, Tinikling is a favorite in the Visayan islands, especially on the island of Leyte.

The dance imitates the movement of the tikling birds as they walk between grass stems or run over tree branches. Dancers imitate the tikling bird's legendary grace and speed by skillfully maneuvering between large bamboo poles.

SUBLI - From the province of Batangas comes this ancient dance, originally performed in veneration of the holy cross of Alitagtag, referred to in the vernacular as Mahal na Poong Santa Cruz. The word subli is derived from two Tagalog words, subsub (stooped) and bali (broken). Hence, the men are stooped throughout the dance and appear to be lame and crooked, while the women dance with hats.

OO nga't mapapalitan ko ang kulay ng mata ko kung ako'y naka-contact lens o ako'y mag-patina ng buhok o magpa-bleach para pumuti ng konti, at magsuot ng sobrang taas na sapatos, sa loob-loob ng puso ko Pilipino pa rin ako at AY EM PRAWD TU BI FILIFINO!
